THE STARTER REPORTED: a) PENTOLINA (S Veale) was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Leaving the 800m EAT PREY LOVE (K Steyn) had to steady when awkwardly placed on the inside of KLEINZEE (A Fortune). As a consequence, EUREKA DIAMOND (A Arries) had to ease and DIAMOND BOMBER (O Noach), which was following, raced wide for a number of strides. Thereafter, Jockey K Steyn felt something amiss with this filly and eased EAT PREY LOVE out of the race. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. b) KLEINZEE, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer C Bass-Robinson was advised. (TJ) JOCKEY AND/OR EQUIPMENT CHANGES: a) C Little rode HAMPSTEAD HEATH (declared 15h04 on 20250415) RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER a) EUREKA DIAMOND (A Arries) raced in club colours - Stewards permission THE VETERINARY SURGEON REPORTED: a) EAT PREY LOVE - examined post-race. Nothing obvious detected. Trainer PAW Botha was advised to report back should he find anything amiss with this filly on her return to the stables.
