Stipes Report
THE STARTER REPORTED: a) CUBAN PETE (C Maujean) jumped awkwardly leaving the stalls. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) GREEN STREET (S Khumalo) raced in isolation on the inside of the track throughout. b) At approximately the 300m, TWO FOR THE BOYS (A Fortune) was carried out by ICHACHA (K Matsunyane), which was bumped out by EXPLOSIVE GIFT (M van Rensburg), which in turn was bumped out by MYSTIC VISION (P Mxoli), which ducked out sharply away from the crop. As a consequence of this, ICHACHA (K Matsunyane) was eased and switched inwards. The Board, after reviewing this incident, was satisfied that Jockey P Mxoli could not have predicted this type of reaction from MYSTIC VISION and therefore took no action against him. c) Jockey J R Syster reported that CODEWORD raced with its tongue over the bit. d) In view of the performance of GREEN STREET (S Khumalo), (distance 2,50 lengths, betting 5/2), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. e) CRESCENDO (C Zackey), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER: a) CUBAN PETE raced equipped with blinkers and a tongue tie on (declared 12 April 2025 at 06H56). b) MOLOTOV COCKTAIL raced equipped with blinkers and a tongue tie on (declared 12 April 2025 at 11H04). c) GREEN STREET raced equipped with a compression mask (declared 16 April 2025 at 09H39). Race 3 contd. THE VETERINARY SURGEON REPORTED: a) GREEN STREET blowing post race. b) CRESCENDO abnormal respiratory noise. THERE WERE NO SCRATCHINGS. DISQUALIFIED / DECLARED NON-RUNNER: None.
