THE STARTER REPORTED: a) HAPPY MO (S Khumalo) and CAPTAINOFTHEGREEN (P Strydom) jumped inwards leaving the stalls. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Shortly after the start, PRESLEY (C Maujean) and CIAN THE CONQUEROR (J Penny) came together and bumped when awkwardly placed on the inside of CAPTAINOFTHEGREEN (P Strydom), which jumped inwards leaving the stalls. b) Jockey P Strydom reported that CAPTAINOFTHEGREEN did not stride out freely in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. c) BOB'S YOUR UNCLE (C Zackey), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer M N Houdalakis advised (MS). JOCKEY CHANGES: a) HAPPY MO: Jockey S Khumalo weighed out at 54,8kg, 0,5kg over the carded weight. b) BOB'S YOUR UNCLE: Jockey C Zackey weighed out at 55,1kg, 1kg over the carded weight. Stipes permission as the sweat box was out of order which precluded Jockey C Zackey from sweating. c) OPEN HIGHWAY: Jockey J R Syster weighed out at 50,9kg, 0,5kg over the carded weight. RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER: a) PRESLEY raced with a tongue tie on (declared 16 April 2025 at 07H48). THE VETERINARY SURGEON REPORTED: a) CAPTAINOFTHEGREEN lame left front.
