Stipes Report
En-route to the start, Apprentice M Mbuto was dislodged from HEARTS ON FIRE, which then bolted the course. This filly was taken in hand and subsequently scratched by the Veterinary Surgeon, causing a delay. THE STARTER REPORTED: a) DIESEL'S SHADOW (*B Plaatjies) jumped awkwardly leaving the stalls. b) DJ JUNIOR (*KJ Lihaba) jumped outwards leaving the stalls. c) TAXHAVEN (*B Marx-Jacobson) jumped slow, losing one length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) After jumping awkwardly, Apprentice B Plaatjies (DIESEL'S SHADOW) briefly lost the footing to his left side stirrup iron. b) BIRTHRIGHT (*G Dookhit) was hanging in from the 400m. c) DARK SILVER, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer AG Laird was advised.
