THE STARTER REPORTED: a) A fair start. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) Shortly after the start EL REY VIENE (S Veale) was unbalanced and had its hind quarters turned inwards when bumped by CHILL IN THE AIR (K Matsunyane) which was brushed in by UZWANO (M Yeni) which jumped awkwardly inwards leaving the starting stalls. b) Leaving the 600m BOM BOM (C Habib) was carried out by OKAVANGO (A Fortune) which was directed outwards away from the heels of BAD MEDICINE (S Khumalo) to continue its run. c) BOM BOM (C Habib) hung in from the 250m. d) In view of the performance of INTUITIVE SPIRIT (T Godden) which commenced to give ground to the field from the 300m, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. e) In view of the performance of BLACKBERRY BREEZE (A Mgudlwa) (10.20 lengths, 10/1 in the betting), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. f) OKAVANGO (A Fortune), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer J S Snaith was advised (DZ). JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES : a) Jockey K Matsunyane was the rider of CHILL IN THE AIR (advised 20.04.2025/07h07). RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER : a) Nil.
