THE STARTER REPORTED: a) SPECIAL GLAMOUR (C Orffer) was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Apprentice S Bungane (STILL SPARKLING) rode a satisfying qualifying ride. b) The right side cheek piece fitted to the bridle of STYLE ICON (K Steyn) came adrift at the 600m. c) At the 300m SPECIAL GLAMOUR (C Orffer) was steadied and directed outwards when unable to secure a narrow run between the inside running rail and TORI'S GIRL (M Mjoka). d) Jockey D Ashby reported that HOW RIGHT YOU ARE did not stride out freely in running and he did not persevere with his riding from the 300m. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. e) ENGLISH MISTRESS, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer C Bass-Robinson was advised.
