THE STARTER REPORTED: a) OH YOKO (M van Rensburg) was fractious in the stalls. b) CITY OF DREAMS (C Habib) jumped slow, losing one length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Jockey R Fourie reported that he felt something amiss with FANTASY GIRL. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. Trainer AC Greeff was advised to report back should he find anything amiss with this filly on her return to the stables. b) In view of the performance of OH YOKO (M van Rensburg), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. c) NEMOROSA, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Assistant Trainer DG Smith, acting on behalf of Trainer GD Smith, was advised.
