Stipes Report
THE STARTER REPORTED: a) On arriving at the start Jockey C Habib expressed concern with SEE YOU IN A BIT's action while proceeding to the start. This filly was examined by the Veterinary Surgeon and withdrawn, causing a delay. b) The bridle on DECREE (M van Rensburg) was re-fitted at the start, causing a further delay. Thereafter, this gelding was stubborn loading and slow into stride. c) AADEHYA (Y Ramzan) jumped awkwardly. d) DONNY TEE (L Mxothwa) and ARTICUNO (R Fourie) were slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Apprentice H Moosun (NOTORIX) rode a satisfactory qualifying ride. b) At approximately the 150m, PROJECT RUNWAY (C Maujean) had to steady momentarily between ARTICUNO (R Fourie) and NOTORIX (*H Moosun) when NOTORIX (*H Moosun), which was carried inwards by SWISS WALT (*N Nastili), which was hanging in. Apprentice N Nastili appeared before the Board and was advised to take stronger measures to straighten his mounts in a race. c) Jockey E Webber (ONE TOO MANY) dropped his crop at the 100m. d) SWISS WALT, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer Z Oosthuizen was advised. (HK) JOCKEY AND/OR EQUIPMENT CHANGES: a) *H Moosun (NOTORIX) rode +0.5kg and only claimed 3.5kg of his 4kg allowance (50.7kgs) RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER a) Nil THE VETERINARY SURGEON REPORTED: a) SEE YOU IN A BIT - not striding out right hind.
