THE STARTER REPORTED:
a)	MARAUDING HORDE (K Matsunyane) was slow into stride.	

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED:
a)	Jockey K Matsunyane, the rider of MARAUDING HORDE, briefly dropped his right-side rein at approximately the 150m.	
b)	In view of the performance of ROYAL EDITION (R Danielson), (distance 19,50 lengths, betting 25/2), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding.	
c)	Jockey C Zackey reported that HOTARUBI did not stride out freely in running. 
The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. 	
d)	LA MOOHAL was selected for the taking of specimens for TCO2 testing. The first specimen revealed a level of over 36 TCO2 mmol/L. Trainer T Zackey was advised that, in terms of the Procedure for Total Carbon Dioxide (TCO2) analysis on Raceday, a second blood specimen would be collected. Trainer T Zackey was informed that the second blood specimen had revealed a level above the threshold of 38 mmol/L and that consequently LA MOOHAL was scratched from this race in terms of the provisions of Rules 72.1.23; 4.2.14 and 4.2.18 (Withdrawn at 13H50, 6/1 in the betting). LA MOOHAL was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer T Zackey was advised (Mr L Anderson).
e)	LET'S GO NOW (R Fourie), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
