a)	En route to the start ROLLWITHTHEPUNCHES (G Lerena) lifted its left front shoe which was attended to by the Course Farrier. 
b)	Shortly before the finish, WEST COAST LOVER (W Kennedy) had to steady momentarily off the heels of MOYA WA LALIGA (M Yeni), which rolled in.
c)	Jockey C Zackey reported that SEQUOIA made an abnormal respiratory noise in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this colt. 	
d)	In view of the performance of MONEY FIGHTER (S Khumalo), (distance 8,25 lengths, betting 4/1), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. 	
e)	FRONTLINE FIGHTER (*J Solomons), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Assistant Trainer A Peter, acting on behalf of Trainer P A Peter, advised (DR).
