THE STARTER REPORTED: a) ELEGANTRIX (G Lerena) was stubborn to load. b) I'M A FIREBALL (S Veale) and MALMESBURY MISSILE (R Fourie) lost 1 length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) Leaving the 600m MILITARY COMMAND (C Zackey) was carried in marginally by ELEGANTRIX (G Lerena) which commenced to hang in. Thereafter, in the concluding stages ELEGANTRIX (G Lerena) which continued to hang in, was brushed on a number of occasions by GOOD FOR YOU (C Little) which hung in and shifted in away from the crop. b) The Board have adjourned to review Jockey C Little's riding of GOOD FOR YOU in the concluding stages. c) In view of the performance of FORTESS OF FIRE (A Fortune) which commenced to give ground to the field from the 250m, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. d) In view of the performances of I'M A FIREBALL (S Veale) (7.05 lengths, 33/10 in the betting) and MILITARY COMMAND (C Zackey) (3.55 lengths, 14/10 in the betting), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. e) ELEGANTRIX (G Lerena), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
