The start of this race was delayed due to the late arrival of the medical services on course. THE STARTER REPORTED: a) MISS DANON (S Hlengwa) was restless in the stalls. b) TREASURE ISLAND (M Thackeray) fly-jumped leaving the stalls. c) FASCINATION (D Schwarz) lost 3 lengths. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) En route to the start it was established that the Medical Personnel had not arrived on course. Upon enquiry it was established that the Medical Personnel had not familiarized themselves with the revised times to the rescheduled meeting. b) Shortly after the start ON SONG (A Mgudlwa) was momentarily steadied off the heels of EXPLOSIVE POWER (C Habib) which jumped outwards leaving the starting stalls. c) EXPLOSIVE POWER (C Habib) which raced green, raced wide and without cover around the turn and into the straight. d) TREASURE ISLAND (M Thackeray) hung in from the 300m. e) CRAFTY CROFTY (S Khumalo), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer Y Govender was advised (NS). JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES: a) Jockey S Khumalo was the rider of CRAFTY CROFTY (advised 24.04.2025/14h18). RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER: a) Nil.
