Stipes Report
En route to the start CALL ME HARRIET (K Matsunyane) cast the left front shoe which was replaced by the course farrier at the start. CALL ME HARRIET (K Matsunyane) was examined by the Veterinary Surgeon and passed fit to race. Thereafter, on commencement of the loading process GLORIOUS BUTTERFLY (C F Dicken) was subject to a late Veterinary Examination and subsequently scratched. These incidents led to a delay to the start of this race. THE STARTER REPORTED: a) KESARI (T Godden) was stubborn to load. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) At the 800m CALL ME HARRIET (K Matsunyane) rolled in and was steadied when tightened for galloping room between SHEEZAROCKET (D Schwarz) and the hindquarters of RANI TARABAI (S Khumalo). b) Approaching the 300m, the colour cap on Jockey D Schwarz (SHEEZAROCKET) was detached. c) RANI TARABAI (S Khumalo), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer G van Zyl (Jnr) was advised (NS). JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES: a) Jockey C F Dicken was the rider of GLORIOUS BUTTERFLY (advised 24.04.2025/14h59). b) Jockey T Godden was the rider of KESARI (advised 27.04.2025/13h27). c) NATURAL LAW raced equipped with blinkers (advised 23.04.2025/16h41).
