THE STARTER REPORTED: a) CALL ME JANE (C Orffer) was restless in the stalls. b) JOUEUR DE FLUTE (C Zackey) was slow into stride. c) KYLIE'S WORLD (C Little) jumped slow, losing three lengths. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) At the 400m IKO IKO (M Winnaar) was steadied briefly and directed outwards when close to the heels of CALL ME JANE (C Orffer). b) At the 50m PENNY'S WORLD (*B Plaatjies), which showed a tendency to hang out, rolled out marginally, clipped the heels of CALL ME JANE (C Orffer) and stumbled. c) Jockey C Zackey reported that JOUEUR DE FLUTE made an abnormal respiratory noise in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. d) In view of the report from the Starter regarding KYLIE'S WORLD (C Little), Trainer L Woodruff will be advised to have this colt re-schooled prior to his next engagement in terms of Rule 61.6.10. e) DIVE BOMBER, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Assistant Trainer GV Woodruff, acting on behalf of Trainer L Woodruff, was advised.
