THE STARTER HAD NO REPORTS THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) En route to the start, Work Rider P Mlangeni was dislodged from LAVA LAMP, which bolted and was subsequently scratched. b) MRS WONDERFUL (+S B Mthembu) failed to muster speed and commenced to give ground to the field from the 700m. c) Work Rider J Horing reported that he felt something amiss with TRAIL COMPASS in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. d) In view of the Veterinary Surgeon's report concerning TRAIL COMPASS, and in terms of Rule 93.1, this filly is suspended for 60 days from racing in any race under the jurisdiction of the National Horseracing Authority. Trainer H E Adamson was advised. e) LADY NOIR (+S Mosia), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer W H Marwing advised (MS). JOCKEY CHANGES: None.
