THE STARTER REPORTED:
a) SOVEREIGN COMMAND (*M Mbuto), QUINN'S TIME (C Dicken) and MR PLEASURE (S Veale) lost 1 length.
THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED :
a) CALL ME WILD (A Fortune) reared on two occasions in the starting stalls which resulted in Jockey A Fortune's colour cap becoming detached.
b) At the 600m, SOVEREIGN COMMAND (*M Mbuto) was carried in by CALL ME WILD (A Fortune) which rolled in and was immediately corrected. Thereafter, SOVEREIGN COMMAND (*M Mbuto) was inconvenienced on the outside of the heels of QUINCY TOWN (J Jacobs).
c) In the concluding stages, QUINN'S TIME (C Dicken) was carried out briefly by GALACTIC LOVER (*G Dookhit) which shifted out.
d) Jockey S Khumalo (BORBORZOR) did not persevere with his riding in the concluding stages. Thereafter Jockey Khumalo reported this gelding made an abnormal respiratory noise in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine.
e) YIPPEE KIYAY (M Yeni), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer M de Kock was advised (SP).
