THE STARTER REPORTED

A) JACKSONVILLE refused to load and was subsequently withdrawn by the Starter. The starting stalls certificate for this gelding is withdrawn.
B) IKAPA was nervous in the stalls, slow away and lost 1 length.
C) PSYCHEDELIC ERIC jumped awkwardly leaving the stalls and was slow into stride.
D) CASERO kicked the back gate in the stalls and was slow into stride.
E) IRISH SEA was slow into stride.
F) ALMIGHWAAR was nervous in the stalls.

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED

A) IKAPA (W Kennedy) pulled hard in the early and middle stages.
B) DUKE OF ORANGE (J P v'd Merwe) had difficulty securing clear running from the 500m and had to be directed outwards approaching the 250m.
C) Jockey W Agrella reported that he felt something amiss with BOLD PREMIER in the running and did not persevere with his riding from the 300m. The Course Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine.
D) In view of the Starter's report with regard to JACKSONVILLE (*K Strydom), this gelding's starting stall certificate is withdrawn and he is suspended in terms of Rule 61.6.10 for a period of 30 days and until such time as he proves tractable loading into the stalls. Suspension dates: 02 April 2022 to 01 May 2022 both days included. JACKSONVILLE may not be presented for re-passing during this period. Trainer Z Oosthuizen was advised.
E) In view of the Veterinary Surgeon's report concerning BOLD PREMIER (W Agrella), and in terms of Rule 93.1, this gelding is suspended for 60 days from racing in any race under the jurisdiction of the National Horseracing Authority. Trainer M L Turner was advised
