The start of this race was delayed due to the delay in the previous race. THE STARTER REPORTED: a) VJ'S ANGEL (C Habib), REGENERATION (T Godden), SCARLET MACAW (A Fortune) and GIVE ME EVERYTHING (C Zackey) lost 1 length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) FROZEN FANTASY (D De Goveia) over raced in the early stages. b) JEANNE DARC (S Moodley) over-raced in the early and middle stages. c) Jockey S Khumalo reported that GREEN SAPPHIRE did not stride out freely in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. d) In view of the performances of JEANNE DARC (S Moodley) (7.85 lengths, 50/1 in the betting) and SCARLET MACAW (A Fortune) (2.20 lengths, 20/1 in the betting), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. e) The Stewards interviewed Jockeys S Khumalo (GREEN SAPPHIRE), K Matsunyane (OXALIS GOLD) and G Lerena (SPUMANTE DOLCE) in relation to an incident at the 1200m in which MON PETIT CHERIE (R Fourie) made contact with the inside running rail and became unbalanced.
