c)	ZEITZ was selected for the taking of specimens for TCO2. testing. The first specimen analysed at 14h18 revealed a level of over 36 TCO2. mmol/L. In terms of the Procedure for Total Carbon Dioxide (TCO2) analysis on Raceday, a second blood specimen was collected.  Assistant Trainer B Forster acting on behalf of Trainer W A Nel was informed that the second blood specimen, analysed at 14h35 had revealed a level of over the threshold of 38 mmol/L. Consequently ZEITZ was scratched from this race in terms of the provisions of Rules 72.1.23; 4.2.14 and 4.2.18. (Withdrawn at 14h50, 20/1 in the betting).
d)	SAIL THE SEAS (M Yeni), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer J S Snaith was advised (NS).
