THE STARTER REPORTED: a) GINGER DELIGHT (A Mgudlwa) was stubborn to load. b) WOZA NAWE (S Veale), GRAND OCCASION (S Hlengwa) and JULIET TANGO (*N Nastili) lost 1 length. c) GREEN VALKYRIE (A Fortune) refused to jump. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) The Board reviewed the start to this race and established that GREEN VALKYRIE (A Fortune) had suffered no impediment as the gates were released and had simply refused to jump. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. b) In view of the Starter's report with regard to GREEN VALKYRIE (A Fortune), this filly's starting stall certificate is withdrawn and it is suspended in terms of Rule 61.6.10 for a period of 7 days and until such time as it jumps on terms proves tractable with a companion. Suspension dates: 08.05.2025 to the 14.05.2025. GREEN VALKYRIE may not be presented for re-passing during this period. Trainer K Naidoo was advised. (SN) c) JULIET TANGO (*N Nastili) over-raced in the early and middle stages and thereafter raced wide around the latter part of the turn and into the straight. d) FAIZAH (S Khumalo) hung out from the 300m. e) GRAND OCCASION (S Hlengwa) hung out from the 250m. f) ONE PATH (C Zackey) hung out in the concluding stages. g) Approaching the 50m, JULIET TANGO (*N Nastili) was steadied momentarily in anticipation of a tight run closing between the outside running rail and GINGER DELIGHT (A Mgudlwa) which rolled out and was immediately corrected. h) WOZA NAWE (S Veale), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer P B Muscutt was advised (SP). JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES : a) ONE PATH raced fitted with a tongue tie (advised 06.05.2025/09h31). b) Jockey C Zackey (ONE PATH) weighed out at 57.3kg, 0.5kg over the carded weight. RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER : a) Nil. THE VETERINARY SURGEON REPORTED : a) GREEN VALKYRIE : Nothing obvious detected. THERE WERE NO SCRATCHINGS : DISQUALIFIED / DECLARED NON-RUNNER: a) None.
