a)	ERIK'S GIRL (R Danielson) was restless in the stalls.
b)	FIRE ON FIRE (D Schwarz) was restless in the stalls and thereafter slow, losing one length.
c)	RENDEVOUS IN RIO (J Mariba) was slow losing one length.
	
THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED:
a)	MILO'S MILLIONAIRE (C Zackey) over-raced in the early and middle stages, thereafter, compounded in the straight. Given this report, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. 
b)	JILTED (C Habib) hung in from 300m and took a number of awkward strides in the concluding stages. 
Thereafter, Jockey C Habib reported that this filly did not stride out freely in running. 
The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. 	
c)	Jockey D De Gouveia reported that PANNING SILVER did not stride out freely in running. 
The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. 	
d)	In view of the Veterinary Surgeon's report concerning ERIK'S GIRL, and in terms of Rule 93.1, this filly is suspended for 60 days from racing in any race under the jurisdiction of the National Horseracing Authority. Trainer P P Labuschagne was advised.	
e)	Trainer J A Soma was charged with a contravention of Rule 39.7.5 in that he failed to vaccinate RENDEVOUS IN RIO against Equine Influenza in accordance with the programme of vaccinations as published from time to time in the Racing Calendar. 
Trainer J A Soma signed an Admission of Guilt and was fined R1000.
f)	RACHEL WALL (G Lerena), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
