THE STARTER REPORTED:

a)	TATTENHAM HILL (K Matsunyane) was slow into stride.

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED:

a)	In the concluding stages, FORWARD SPELL (J Mariba) was awkwardly placed between SEA OF GALILEE (G Lerena) and CLIMATE CONTROL (R Fourie) which hung in from the 300m.  Jockey Mariba appeared before the Board, was shown the patrol films of the race and he was reminded of his obligation to ride his mounts out to the end of the race.
b)	In the concluding stages, VENGEANCE FOREVER (C Habib) and SEA OF GALILEE (G Lerena) came together and brushed.
c)	In view of the performances of CHASING CHEETAHS (C Maujean) (betting 33/1, distance 16,00 lengths) and GRAND DESTINY (*K A Brewer) (betting 33/1, distance 21,00 lengths), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine these horses. 
d)	TATTENHAM HILL (K Matsunyane), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.  Trainer B Crawford advised (AH).
e)	CHASING CHEETAHS (C Maujean), unplaced, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.  Trainer D Nieuwenhuizen advised (MS).
