THE STARTER REPORTED: a) ETERNITY RING (W Kennedy) was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) RAIN IN HOLLAND (R Fourie) shifted in to continue its run at the 400m and thereafter shifted out away from the crop at the 200m. b) Jockey K de Melo reported that he felt something amiss with GREENGROWTHELILACS in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. c) In view of the performance of CLAFOUTIS (S Khumalo), (betting 10/1, distance 19,75 lengths), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. Assistant Trainer A Ndzilana was requested to report back to the Board on the condition of this filly on return to stables. d) RAIN IN HOLLAND (R Fourie), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
