THE STARTER REPORTED:
a) SILVER PARASOL (P Mxoli) refused to jump. The starting stall certificate for this filly has been withdrawn. Trainer A G Laird to be advised.

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED:
a) The Handler allocated to SILVER PARASOL (P Mxoli), drawn in stall gate number 9, appeared before the Board with regard to his actions after this filly refused to jump. The Board has adjourned to give this further consideration.
b) Approaching the 300m, LAPIS LAZULI (M Yeni) was steadied momentarily when awkwardly placed on the heels of TRIED AND TRUE (K Matsunyane), which was carried in by ACCEPT COOKIES (G Lerena), which was directed inwards to continue its run.
c) QUANTUM (C Habib) hung in from the 200m.
d) The saddle on LAPIS LAZULI slipped back in running, placing Jockey M Yeni at a disadvantage in the concluding stages. This was confirmed by the patrol film.
e) Jockey K Matsunyane reported that he felt something amiss with TRIED AND TRUE in running.
The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this mare.
f) Jockey L Nhlapo reported that he felt something amiss with PRETTY ANALIA in running.
The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this mare.
g) Jockey J Gates reported that he felt something amiss with ON A JET PLANE in running.

h) Apprentice G Samo-Burthia reported that LAST GINGER did not stride out freely in running.
The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly.
i) In view of the Starter's report with regard to SILVER PARASOL, this filly's starting stall certificate has been withdrawn, and she is suspended in terms of Rule 61.6.10 for a period of 7 days and until such time as she proves tractable loading and jumping with a companion on a Raceday.
Suspension dates: 23 May 2025 to 29 May 2025. SILVER PARASOL may not be presented for re-passing during this period. Trainer A G Laird to be advised.
j) ACCEPT COOKIES (G Lerena), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
