Stipes Report
The start of this race was delayed due to the late arrival of the ambulance at the start which had attended to the fallen riders in the previous race. Thereafter, during the loading process THE GOLDEN GOAL (D Schwarz) became restless and rushed the front gates. This gelding was released from the stalls, examined by the Veterinary Surgeon, passed fit to race and reloaded. This led to a further delay to the start of this race. THE STARTER REPORTED: a) During the loading process THE GOLDEN GOAL (D Schwarz) became restless and rushed the front gates. This gelding was released from the stalls, examined by the Veterinary Surgeon, passed fit to race and reloaded. b) CALL ME WILD (K Matsunyane) reared once in the stalls. c) OWNER OF CREATION (J P v'd Merwe), BRUH (A Fortune) and lost 1 length. d) MR PLEASURE (M V'Rensburg) lost 2 lengths. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) Shortly after the start LET'S GO TO WAR (*Mbuto) was brushed out by GOOD OMEN (S Hlengwa) which rolled out away from the heels of KING OF VICTORY (M Yeni) to continue its run. b) GOOD OMEN (S Hlengwa) raced green around the bend. c) At the 300m THE GOLDEN GOAL (D Schwarz) was brushed out by RUN FOREST RUN (S Moodley) which rolled out marginally, and was steadied when close to the heels of FINE DINING (N Patel). d) XENOPHON (R Fourie) hung in from the 300m. e) At the 100m BRUH (A Fortune) was steadied when racing in restricted room between the inside running rail and DOIN 'TIME (C Habib) which shifted in away from the crop and was immediately corrected. f) RUN FOREST RUN (S Moodley), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Assistant Trainer B Forster acting on behalf of Trainer W A Nel was advised (NS). JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES : a) Jockey N Patel was the rider of FINE DINING (advised 24.05.2025/12h25).
