THE STARTER REPORTED:

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: 

a)	CALL TO UNITE (M Yeni) was allowed to race prominently ahead of the field in the early part of the race.
b)	OTTO LUYKEN (L Mxothwa) was carried outwards by GARRIX (G Lerena), which shifted out from the 200m.
c)	BILLY BOWLEGS (C Orffer) was hanging out from the 300m.
d)	Jockey R Fourie reported that MUCHO DINERO did not stride out freely in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding.
e)	Jockey M Yeni reported that CALL TO UNITE made an abnormal respiratory noise in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding.
f)	Jockey L Mxothwa was charged with a contravention of Rule 58.9.3 in that he failed to ensure that the chin strap of his skull cap was securely and firmly fastened when he entered the winner's enclosure. Jockey L Mxothwa signed an Admission of Guilt and was fined R500.00.
g)	OTTO LUYKEN, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.  Trainer J Crawford was advised. (SC)
