Stipes Report

THE STARTER REPORTED:

a)	MIDWICKET (J Gates) was stubborn loading.
b)	SWEET NOTHINGS (K Minnie) was restless in the stalls.
c)	GLOBAL REEF (S Khathi) kicked the back gates in the starting stalls.
d)	MR FOX (R Fourie) jumped awkwardly inwards.
e)	SAN QUINTIN (E Webber) was slow into stride.

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: 

a)	GLOBAL REEF (S Khathi) jumped outwards and made contact with FUJISAN (X Ndlovu) shortly after the start.
b)	KAROO GOLD (C Habib) was baulked for a clear run between the 300m and the 150m.
c)	Jockey C Zackey reported that FEARLESS BADGER made an abnormal respiratory noise in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. 	
	Assistant Trainer F Jacobs was advised to report back should he find anything amiss with this gelding on his return to the stables.
d)	Apprentice N Baboo (THREE CHEERS) appeared before the Board, accompanied by the Academy Riding Master, was shown the patrol film and strongly advised to extend his crop arm when hitting his mount behind the saddle so as to leave no room for doubt by the Stipendiary Board in future engagements.
Apprentice N Baboo was charged with a contravention of Rule 58.10.2 (Guideline L) in that he struck THREE CHEERS with his crop in the flank. Apprentice N Baboo signed an admission of guilt and was given a warning.
e)	Apprentice N Baboo was charged with a contravention of Rule 58.10.2 (Guideline B) in that he struck THREE CHEERS with his crop arm above shoulder height. Apprentice N Baboo signed an admission of guilt and was fined R1 000.00
f)	MR FOX, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer AC Greeff was advised. (LM)
