THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: 

a)	Shortly after the start, STREET OUTLAW (G van Niekerk) had to be checked and made contact with PALACE GIFT (R Fourie) when bumped outwards by CIRCUMBENDIBUS (JP van der Merwe), which shifted out leaving the stalls. 
b)	Approaching the 400m STREET OUTLAW (G van Niekerk) was held up and had to be steadied and switched inwards when unable to secure a clear run between NOON DAY GUN (D Ashby) and ONE LINER (C Zackey). Thereafter, STREET OUTLAW (G van Niekerk) was directed outwards and brushed a tiring UNITED NATION (S Veale) leaving the 200m.  
c)	Shortly before the finish, Apprentice S Bungane (WINTER PEARL) briefly dropped his right-side rein. As a consequence, he was unable to ride WINTER PEARL (*S Bungane) to the finish. 
d)	At the finish STREET OUTLAW (G van Niekerk) was inconvenienced on the inside of WINTER PEARL (*S Bungane) when WINTER PEARL shifted in as Apprentice S Bungane attempted to regather his reins.
e)	In view of the performance of TUBRO TWENTY (A Fortune), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding.
f)	SURGE OF POWER, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.  Trainer GW Ennion was advised. (SC)
