The start of this race was delayed due to the tongue tie on MRS DLADLA (C F Dicken) being re-fitted at the start. THE STARTER REPORTED: a) MISS DANON (S Hlengwa) Lost 1 length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) Shortly after the start SPLASH OF LOVE (A Fortune), GATHERING WINTER (*B Plaatjies) and TULIP FIELDS (C Zackey) suffered varying degrees of interference when awkwardly placed on the outside of OPERA FAN (M Yeni) and QUEEN OF THE SPEAR (R Danielson) who both jumped outwards sharply. b) Leaving the 1000m MISS DANON (S Hlengwa) which proved difficult to settle was directed outwards off the heels of SPLASH OF LOVE (A Fortune). c) Jockey C F Dicken reported that MRS DLADLA changed strides continuously in the running, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. d) Jockey G Lerena reported that ALAKAZAM made an abnormal respiratory noise in the running, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. e) Jockey C Zackey reported that the saddle on TULIP FIELDS slipped back in the running. This was confirmed by the Veterinary Surgeon. f) MRSGLITTERSPARKLES (C Habib), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer W Whitehead advised (SP). JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES : a) GATHERING WINTER raced without blinkers (Advised 01.06.25/12h58). RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER : a) None.
