THE STARTER REPORTED: a) SEEKING SPACE was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) Between the 1400m and 1200m CIRCLE OF GRACE (T Mayhew) was tightened for galloping room when awkwardly placed on the heels of BLAZING LIGHT (S Veale) and the inside running rail. b) BALLY MAGIC (S Moodley) commenced to give ground to the field in the concluding stages. Thereafter Jockey S Moodley reported that he felt something amiss with BALLY MAGIC in the running, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. c) Jockey D Schwarz did not persevere with his riding from the 300m. Thereafter Jockey D Schwarz reported that he felt something amiss with SEEKING SPACE in the running, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. d) In view of the Veterinary Surgeon's report regarding SEEKING SPACE, this gelding is suspended in terms of Rule 49.7 and a Veterinary Certificate is required prior to racing. Trainer L W Goosen was advised. e) KING BAVARIAN (*J Botes), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer A Wright advised (DZ). JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES : a) None.
