THE STARTER REPORTED: a) NORTHERN WARRIOR (R Danielson) was stubborn to load. b) POSITION OF POWER (A Mgudlwa) lost 1 length. c) WHO BLINKED (C Murray) was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) VELDSKOEN (AUS) hung in, in the straight. b) Approaching the 150m AFRICAN PRINCE (J P v'd Merwe) was directed out away from the heels of NORTHERN WARRIOR (R Danielson) which shifted out away from the crop and was corrected. c) Jockey C Murray reported that WHO BLINKED did not stride out freely in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. d) Jockey R Fourie reported that MY ARCHANGEL made an abnormal respiratory noise in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. e) GIMMETHEGOODLIFE (S Moodley), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
