THE STARTER REPORTED: a) TEXAS RED (K Matsunyane) was stubborn loading and thereafter jumped outwards leaving the stalls. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) RADICCHIO (S Khumalo) hung in from the 400m. In view of this report, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. b) Approaching the 100m, Jockey M Yeni (WECANGOALLNIGHT) briefly got his crop entangled in his left-side rein. c) TEXAS RED (K Matsunyane), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer R Klaasen advised (MS). JOCKEY CHANGES: None. RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER: None. THE VETERINARY SURGEON REPORTED: a) RADICCHIO not striding out right hind. THERE WERE NO SCRATCHINGS.
