Stipes Report

THE  STARTER  REPORTED:
a)	DRAGONHEART  (L  Nhlapo)  reared  as  the  start  was  effected.  The  starting  stall  certificate  for  this  gelding  has  been  withdrawn.  Trainer  J  J  van  Vuuren  to  be  advised.  	

THE  STIPENDIARY  STEWARDS  REPORTED:
a)	A  race  review  was  called  into  the  start  of  this  race  with  regards  DRAGONHEART  (L  Nhlapo)  in  stall  gate  7.  The  Stewards  established  that  this  gelding  was  restless,  reared  as  the  start  was  effected  and  dislodged  Jockey  L  Nhlapo.  When  assessing  this  incident,  the  Stewards  were  of  the  view  that  the  front  gates  had  opened  on  terms,  that  the  Handler  had  released  this  gelding  timeously  and  that  the  incident  was  as  a  consequence  of  DRAGONHEART's  own  behaviour  and  in  terms  of  the  provisions  of  Rule  61.5.10.3  was  declared  a  runner.
b)	Leaving  the  200m,  STONE  OF  SCONE  (S  Moodley),  which  commenced  to  hang  in,  was  steadied  momentarily,  when  awkwardly  placed  on  the  heels  of  PALACE  PRINCE  (M  Yeni),  which  shifted  out  away  from  the  crop  and  was  straightened.  
c)	Jockey  D  Schwarz  (TROMBETTISTA)  did  not  persevere  with  his  riding  in  the  concluding  stages.  Thereafter,  Jockey  D  Schwarz  reported  that  he  felt  something  amiss  with  this  gelding  in  running.  The  Veterinary  Surgeon  was  requested  to  examine.  	
d)	Jockey  K  Matsunyane  reported  that  LANCE  ALOT  made  an  abnormal  respiratory  noise  in  running.  
The  Veterinary  Surgeon  was  requested  to  examine  this  colt.  	
e)	In  view  of  the  Starter's  report  with  regard  to  DRAGONHEART,  this  gelding's  starting  stall  certificate  has  been  withdrawn,  and  he  is  suspended  in  terms  of  Rule  61.6.10  for  a  period  of  7  days  and  until  such  time  as  he  proves  tractable  loading  and  jumping  with  a  companion.  
Suspension  dates:  9  June  2025  to  15  June  2025.    DRAGONHEART  may  not  be  presented  for  re-passing  during  this  period.  Trainer  J  J  van  Vuuren  to  be  advised.  	
f)	In  view  of  the  Veterinary  Surgeon's  report  concerning  TROMBETTISTA,  and  in  terms  of  Rule  93.1,  this  gelding  is  suspended  indefinitely  from  racing  in  any  race  under  the  jurisdiction  of  the  National  Horseracing  Authority.  Trainer  B  D  Botes  was  advised.                	
g)	PALACE  PRINCE  (M  Yeni),  the  winner,  was  selected  for  the  taking  of  specimens  for  analysis.
