THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) GLOBAL STATE (S Naidoo) and ANUSCHKA'S WORLD (L Mxothwa) brushed leaving the 400m. b) DUMBLEDORE (R Fourie) was continually held up for a clear run from the 400m until leaving the 100m. c) Jockey C Orffer reported that he felt something amiss with DANCE VARIETY and he did not persevere with his riding from the 150m. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. d) ARCTIC WIZARD, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer GW Ennion was advised.
