THE STARTER REPORTED:

a)	SLAINTE MHATH (L Mxothwa) kicked the back gates in the starting stalls.
b)	JACK IN THE GREEN (R Fourie), KYOMAI (*I Taka) and SAN QUINTIN (KA Brewer) jumped slow, losing one length.
c)	CATCH THE TUNE (C Zackey) jumped awkwardly and was slow into stride.
d)	ALADO'S PRIDE (S Khathi) was slow into stride.	 

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: 

a)	GARDENER'S PRIDE (Y Ramzan) and CATCH THE TUNE (C Zackey) raced wide on the bend and into the straight.
b)	JACK IN THE GREEN (R Fourie) was hanging in from the 300m.
c)	SLAINTE MHATH (L Mxothwa) had to steady momentarily when awkwardly placed between the inside running rail and HEEMSTEDE (X Ndlovu), which was carried inwards by ROLL OF THE DICE (M van Rensburg), which shifted inwards slightly at the 700m.
	Jockey M van Rensburg appeared before the Board and was advised to give more room to runners on his inside in similar circumstances.
d)	Apprentice I Taka reported that KYOMAI changed stride continually in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding.
e)	Jockey S Naidoo reported that HEAD GARDENER did not stride out freely in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding.
f)	HEEMSTEDE, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer AC Greeff was advised. (LM)
