THE START OF THIS RACE WAS DELAYED DUE TO GLOBAL ZEE (M K KATJEDI) PROVING STUBBORN LOADING AND SUBSEQUENTLY BEING SCRATCHED. THE STARTER REPORTED: a) GLOBAL ZEE (M K Katjedi) refused to load. The starting stall certificate for this gelding has been withdrawn. Trainer P P Labuschagne was advised (GT). b) JOHNNY DRAMA (K Matsunyane) jumped inwards leaving the stalls. c) GREENLIGHT RACER (J Mariba) and TALKOFTHEHEIGHTS (*G Samo-Burthia) were slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) At the 400m, SILVER LONGSWORD (R Fourie) shifted in sharply when racing green. b) At the 300m, RADIO STAR (G Lerena) was directed inwards off the heels of SILVER LONGSWORD (R Fourie) to continue its run. c) Jockey N Klink reported that RED SEA HILLS did not stride out freely in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. d) In view of the Starter's report with regard to GLOBAL ZEE, this gelding's starting stall certificate has been withdrawn, and he is suspended in terms of Rule 61.6.10 for a period of 7 days and until such time as he proves tractable loading and jumping with a companion twice on consecutive Raceday's. Suspension dates: 16 June 2025 to 22 June 2025. GLOBAL ZEE may not be presented for re-passing during this period. Trainer P P Labuschagne was advised. e) CHIEFTAIN'S SHIELD (C Zackey), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer T Zackey advised (MS). JOCKEY CHANGES: None.
