THE STARTER REPORTED: a) SCOTTADITO (C Orffer) lost one length. b) FISTS OF FIRE (D Dillon) kicked the back gates. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) Approaching the 200m, STANLEY (*K Brewer) was switched out for a clear run. Thereafter, this gelding finished its race off strongly. b) Jockey J Gates reported that OH MY WORD ITS ROY did not stride out freely in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. c) In view of the performances of WILDEYE (C Habib), (distance 6.45, betting 10/1) and SCOTTADITO (C Orffer) (distance 14.35, betting 15/2), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. d) Trainer C Spies signed an admission of guilt for the contravention of Rule 8.3.1., in that he failed to ensure that the owner's colours were available for the horse SCOTTADITO. Accordingly a penalty of a warning was imposed. e) SYX HOTFIX (S Moodley), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer A Wright advised (HM).
