THE STARTER REPORTED: a) IMOKELLY (*B Plaatjies) and BLAME IT ON ME (*S Bungane) jumped awkwardly. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) CHARLIE BUCKET (L Mxothwa) was steadied and taken in behind runners shortly after the start. b) CAPE CAPTAIN (J Solomons) over raced in the early stages. c) BOUNDLESS LOVE (JP van der Merwe) over raced in the early and middle stages and proved difficult to settle. d) At approximately the 300m CAPE CAPTAIN (J Solomons) shied away from IMOKELLY (*B Plaatjies), which shifted outwards. e) CAPE CAPTAIN (J Solomons) returned with a bilateral epistaxis due to an exercise induced pulmonary haemorrhage and is suspended for a period of 60 days from racing in any race under the jurisdiction of The National Horseracing Authority of Southern Africa in terms of Rule 93.1. (Dr E Reynders) f) BOUNDLESS LOVE, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer SJ Snaith was advised.
