THE STARTER REPORTED:

a)	ELLORIX (*B Plaatjies) was nervous in the stalls, was taken out, examined by the course Veterinary Surgeon and withdrawn, causing a delay.
b)	WOMAN OF POWER (K Minnie) was stubborn loading and nervous in the stalls.
c)	SONG OF MYSELF (S Veale) was nervous in the stalls and rushed the front gates.
d)	SPLICETHEMAINBRACE (R Fourie) was nervous in the stalls.
e)	THREE ROCKS (X Ndlovu) was slow into stride.

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: 

a)	Jockey R Fourie reported that SPLICETHEMAINBRACE compounded at the 800m. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly.
b)	Jockey C Little was charged with a contravention of Rule 58.10.2 (read with Guideline M on the use of the crop) in that as the rider of SWEETIE DARLING he misused his crop by striking SWEETIE DARLING more than 12 times (13) which was not warranted when considering the circumstances of the race. Jockey C Little signed an admission of guilt and was fined R3 000,00. 
c)	SWEETIE DARLING, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer JP Nel, acting on behalf of Trainer GS Kotzen, was advised. (SP)
d)	MONTELENA, the second-placed horse, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Assistant Trainer DG Smith, acting on behalf of Trainer GD Smith, was advised. (SP)
