THE STARTER REPORTED: a) XIPHOS (C Little) was stubborn to load. b) NORSE WARRIOR (*J Botes) and SIX OF ALL (M Thackeray) lost 1 length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) Jockey G Lerena reported that FLAG CHAMP raced with its tongue over the bit. As a result this colt raced with an awkward head carriage around the turn. b) At the 250m FLAG CHAMP (G Lerena) was bumped by NORSE WARRIOR (*J Botes) which shifted out away from the crop and was immediately corrected. c) DIRECTOR (S Veale) and XIPHOS (C Little) raced green. d) BLACKJACK RANDALL (T Godden), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
