THE STARTER REPORTED:

a)	HOSPICES DE BEAUNE (*N Baboo) was stubborn loading.
b)	ANATOLIAN SILVER (C Little), DYNALLEY (C Maujean) and PEDRO (X Ndlovu) were slow into stride.

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: 

a)	WINTER EMERALDS (R Fourie) was steadied and taken in behind runners shortly after the start.
b)	DYNALLEY (C Maujean) and SUN SPECTACULAR (*B Plaatjies) over raced in the early and middle stages.
c)	Leaving the 1300m MASTER INCOLOR (*N Nastili) had to steady momentarily off the heels of SUN SPECTACULAR (*B Plaatjies), which had to steady off the heels of FINAL TRY (K Minnie), which shifted inwards. 
	Jockey K Minnie was charged with a contravention of Rule 62.2.7 in that as the rider of FINAL TRY, he failed to ensure that he did not cause interference to MASTER INCOLOR and SUN SPECTACULAR leaving the 1300m. Jockey K Minnie signed an Admission of Guilt and was given a warning.
d)	ANATOLIAN SILVER (C Little) was baulked for a clear run on a number of occasions between the 400m and the 100m.
e)	PEDRO (X Ndlovu) was hanging in onto the rail from the 350m and was corrected at the 100m.
f)	CATCH THE TUNE (C Zackey) was hanging in from the 300m and was corrected at the 100m.
g)	LANCIAFIAMME, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer WGC Miller was advised. (LM)
h)	DUMISANI, the second-placed horse, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer JL van Heerden was advised. (LM)
