Stipes Report

THE STARTER REPORTED:

a)	KINGDUNDEE (C Zackey), CLIFF TOP (R Fourie) and ANUSCHKA'S WORLD (*B Plaatjies) were nervous in the stalls.
b)	SLINGS AND ARROWS (L Mxothwa) was nervous in the stalls and fly-jumped leaving the stalls.
c)	WHATEVER NEXT (K Minnie) fly-jumped leaving the stalls, losing one length and thereafter was slow into stride.
d)	FOREST SPY (Y Ramzan) stumbled leaving the stalls.

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: 

a)	KINGDUNDEE recorded a TCO2 concentration of more than 36 mmol/L. Assistant Trainer DG Smith was advised that a second blood specimen would be collected. This specimen was of an acceptable TCO2 level.
b) 	CLIFF TOP (R Fourie) was hanging in from the 300m and was corrected shortly before the finish.
c)	EVIES FIRST (C Little) shifted out away from the crop from approximately the 250m.
d)	KINGDUNDEE (C Zackey) was hanging in from the 250m.
e)	Jockey S Naidoo reported that FIRST ORIGIN did not stride out freely in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding.
f)	KINGDUNDEE, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Assistant Trainer DG Smith, acting on behalf of Trainer GD Smith, was advised. (LM)
