THE STARTER REPORTED: a) BOOM BOOM (C Zackey), CAPE SAFFRON (P Mxoli) and GODSPEED (J R Syster) were slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Approaching the 400m, SUNSHINE DAY (J Gates) was steadied momentarily when awkwardly placed between CAPE SAFFRON (P Mxoli) and WAY TO BURN (*G Dookhit), which rolled in. b) Jockey R Danielson (STORMY SUNDAY) did not persevere with his riding from the 200m. Thereafter, Jockey R Danielson reported that he felt something amiss with this filly in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. c) PRINCESS ILARIA (G Lerena), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer F Bronkhorst advised (MduP).
