THE STARTER REPORTED: a) SNEEUWITJIE (*D D Louw) was stubborn to load. b) LIGHT OF GABRIEL (S Veale) lost 1 length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) Shortly after the start FREYDIS (M Thackeray) and EAST COAST GIRL (T Godden) were bumped by SALLY PORT (D Daniels) which was bumped out by WISHUPONANANGEL (M Yeni) which jumped outwards leaving the starting stalls. b) PERFUME POWER (*J Botes) hung in over the final 350m. c) CINNAMON COFFEE (C Habib), which raced green, hung in from the 300m. d) FREYDIS (M Thackeray), EAST COAST GIRL (T Godden) and LIGHT OF GABRIEL (S Veale) raced green. e) Jockey M V'Rensburg reported that EVERYSECONDCOUNTS took no interest in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. f) Apprentice D D Louw (SNEEUWITJIE) completed a satisfactory qualifying ride. g) PRINCESS OF GAUL (C Zackey), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
