THE STARTER REPORTED: a) MY TRUE LOVE (S Khumalo) was stubborn to load. b) GRUE OF ICE (*D Pillay) and CAPTAIN'S PRIDE (G Lerena) lost 1 length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) FLYING REIGN STORM (D Daniels) over-raced in the early and middle stages, proving difficult to restrain and as a result raced to the lead shortly after entering the turn. b) At the 200m FLYING REIGN STORM (D Daniels) which hung out from the 300m, was brushed by NOODSBERG (M Yeni) which hung in from the 400m and rolled in. c) Jockeys S Veale (NELLIE MELBA) and C Habib (FORT J'ADORE) reported that their respective mounts took no interest in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. d) BEAUTIFUL RANIA (T Godden), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer D S Bosch was advised (DZ). JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES : a) Apprentice D Pillay (claiming 2.5kg of his 4kg apprentice allowance) was the rider of GRUE OF ICE (advised 29.06.2025/09h02). b) Jockey M Yeni was the rider of NOODSBERG (advised 29.06.2025/14h11).
