THE STARTER REPORTED: a) BLUE HORIZON (*K J LIhaba) jumped awkwardly leaving the stalls and thereafter was slow into stride. b) SAFE AND SOUND (S Khumalo) stumbled leaving the stalls and was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) Approaching the 250m ICE RAIN (S Moodley) was directed outwards to obtain a clear run. b) SAFE AND SOUND (S Khumalo) was not persevered with in the concluding stages and thereafter Jockey S Khumalo reported that this filly made an abnormal respiratory noise in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. c) FORWARD MOTION (*J Botes), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer P V Lafferty was advised (NS). JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES : a) AFRICAN BEAT raced fitted with an alumite bar shoe on the right front (advised 24.06.2025/15h46). b) Jockey C Zackey was the rider of ONE SMART COOKIE (advised 29.06.2025/14h01).
