THE STARTER REPORTED: a) WEST SIDE STORY (*J Botes) was stubborn to load. Trainer D C Howells will be advised to reschool this filly. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) MOUNTAINSOFTHEMOON (S Moodley) over-raced in the early stages. b) Leaving the 400m HOT STRIKE (C F Dicken) was carried out by WEST SIDE STORY (*J Botes) which in turn was carried out by RUGGER LOVER (C Zackey) which was steadied and directed outwards away from the heels of QONDANEKUKHANYENI (S Veale) which rolled out marginally and was corrected. c) GREENHOUSE (C Murray) hung out from the 350m. d) RANI TARABAI (S Khumalo), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Assistant Trainer Gavin van Zyl acting on behalf of Trainer G Van Zyl (Jnr) was advised (DZ).
