THE STARTER REPORTED: a) On arriving at the start Jockey D Schwarz expressed concern with BRIGHT FUTURE's action while proceeding to the start. This gelding was examined by the course Veterinary Surgeon and withdrawn, causing a delay. b) AMERICAN PITBULL (S Fortune) jumped awkwardly outwards, stumbled and made contact with STAR TROOPER (K Minnie) leaving the stalls. c) EPIC THUNDER (X Ndlovu) was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) STAR TROOPER (K Minnie) over raced in the early and middle stages. b) EPIC THUNDER (X Ndlovu) raced wide without cover on the bend and into the straight. c) NIGHT IN JAPAN (*H Moosun) was hanging in from the 400m and proved difficult to assist. d) AMERICAN PITBULL (S Fortune), which was hanging in, was directed outwards to continue its run at approximately the 250m. e) GREEN OKRA, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
