THE STARTER REPORTED:
a)	KING BLUETOOTH (L Nhlapo) was stubborn loading.
b)	TRIP TO STATES (G Lerena) jumped inwards leaving the stalls.	
c)	MISS TAKES (C Zackey) was slow into stride.	

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED:
a)	Approaching the 1100m, MYSTIC VISION (P Mxoli), which rolled in, clipped the heels of ROYALE JACKET (*K J Lihaba), which commenced to over-race and was switched out to avoid running onto the heels of KING BLUETOOTH (L Nhlapo). As a consequence, Jockey P Mxoli (MYSTIC VISION) became severely unbalanced. The Board, after reviewing this incident, was of the opinion that blame could not be apportioned to any individual rider and deemed this to be a racing incident and therefore took no further action. 
b)	In view of the performance of ROYALE JACKET (*K J Lihaba), (distance 15,50 lengths, betting 9/4), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding.	
	Assistant Trainer W Marwing, acting on behalf of Trainer W H Marwing, was requested to report back to the Stipendiary Board on the condition of ROYALE JACKET on return to stables. 	
c)	In view of the performance of SECRET WARRIOR (M Yeni), (distance 15,90 lengths, betting 8/1), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding.	
d)	Jockey C Zackey reported that MISS TAKES did not stride out freely in running. 
The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. 	
e)	TOMMY SHELBY (J Gates), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
