THE STARTER REPORTED: a) IRISH MORNING (G Behr) jumped slow, losing one length and thereafter was slow into stride. b) ELUSIVE TRADER (J Jacobs) jumped slow, losing one length and thereafter was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Jockey R Khathi was unable to fully test AFRICAN RAIN in the concluding stages when racing tight between the inside running rain and IRISH MORNING (G Behr) which rolled in slightly away from the crop. b) Jockey a Domeyer reported that TRIP OF FORTUNE (Betting 11/10 ; Distance 8.20) took no interest in running. The veterinary surgeon was requested to examine this colt. c) In view of the performance of SKIDOO (O Noach) the veterinary surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. d) BARZALONA, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer C Bass-Robinson was advised. (SC) JOCKEY AND/OR EQUIPMENT CHANGES: a) Nil RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER a) Nil THE VETERINARY SURGEON REPORTED: a) TRIP OF FORTUNE - examined post-race. Nothing obvious detected. Trainer C Bass-Robinson was advised to report back should she find anything amiss with this colt on his return to the stables b) SKIDOO - examined post-race. Not striding out right hind c) MR COBBS - abnormal respiratory noise detected post-race THERE WERE NO SCRATCHINGS.
